Why a new church?
Pastor Sam and a few others felt a need for a church where the Gospel is reaching next generation afresh. After spending a year in prayer and preparation, we started a church where Christians may become fully devoted followers of Christ and skeptics and seekers are welcomed and may ask questions without embarrassment or fear of feeling judged.
Is New Song a Presbyterian church?
Though Pastor Sam was ordained with KAPC, New Song is non-denominational in order to reach out to the broader population.
What kind of worship style does New Song have?
The word “passionate” best describe our worship style. General order of worship on Sundays is: welcoming, praises, offering, sermon, prayer. Also, please join us for coffee and donuts before service.
What kind of training does Pastor Sam have?
As a youth, Pastor Sam grew up in church but did not have clear understanding of the Gospel and therefore had no meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. However, in his freshman year in University of Texas at Austin, he was introduced to the Gospel anew by a campus Christian ministry. There he gave his life to Christ and pursued the track to be a full-time pastor. After serving in a professional praise and worship ministry as a video producer for 5 years, he attended Westminster Theological Seminary, in Philadelphia, PA. There he was introduced to Reformed theology, which emphasizes the authority of the Bible and the sovereign grace of God. He received his Master of Divinity from there while serving in a large Korean American church in NYC for 6 years.
Is New Song sponsored financially by a mother church or a denomination?
No. We are a new church with faith. If you are a Christian outside our region and want to give above and beyond the primary giving to your local church, we appreciate your support.
Is there childcare for Sunday?
Childcare is provided for nursery-aged children
Are there small groups?
We are currently training and equipping leaders for small groups. We will launch small groups once that training is completed.
